To say that I like mermaids is an understatement....I used to pray when I was a little girl for God to turn me into one. My sister and I used to pretend we were mermaids at the swimming pool too. I'm not quite sure what my plan of attack would have been if I would have woken up at the age of 7 as a mermaid-in bed...with no water....but it never happened so no worries. Anyway, my cousin told me about Weeki Wachee Springs and the live mermaid show so Dave and I decided to check it out last Friday and had such a fun time. We went to two mermaid shows and I was really impressed at what these ladies can do underwater. The first show was about the history of the spring (delighting families since 1947!) and then the second was their interpretation of The Little Mermaid.
It was really cool and I would suggest it to anyone in the area or visiting. You could also swim at the springs and next time I would definitely bring my suit as this water was the clearest and most beautiful water I've seen lately.
And I have THE best husband-he sat through two mermaid shows for me. Thank you Dave, I love you.
Thats pretty cool!
