Weekend

 Happy Monday friends! I hope you had an amazing weekend.
Saturday night some of my friends and I ran the Glo Run 5k at the National Harbor. We got all decked out in glow in the dark paint, glow bracelets and necklaces for the race. I had never run a race at night before but it was a lot of fun. The thrill of not being able to see your path is exciting. Ok, not so much but most of it was lit up and the parts that weren't I used my flashlight on my iphone (who says apps are stupid-not this chic.)
{dave, jess, me, nicole, todd}
{i really love him}

 I always get antsy before races because I don't exercise, and I especially never run. I was the slowest out of the group but I have some amazing friends that stuck with me, encouraged me, and made the race fun when I wanted to stop. I can't even begin to say enough good things about the man above in the awesome glow in the dark mustache. He stayed right by my side the whole time. I'm still sometimes so amazed by how lucky I am to have married him. All the things he does for me, how he continues to love me even though his legs are a little less hairy now due to the latex glow in the dark paint. So sorry about that hunnie!!! Even though I was forced to do physical activity it was a lot of fun and somehow I managed to have enough energy for the dance party afterwards. Thanks guys for such a fun time!

Sunday was a great day as well. I picked up my friend Katie P from the airport and we had some quality time together before going to meet my best friend and her baby girl, Caroline (my bday twin, you might remember here). It was so fun to see Megan in her new role as a mom and I'm so excited to watch little Miss Caroline grow up.

I love her so much already.

& I filled her in early on in life..we swap presents on our birthday. She might get the cute parties, but she knows what's up!

Have a great week!

  1. The COLOR RUN selfie of you and dave makes me smile :) So thankful you have a wonderful husband who will endure glo-paint injuries just to be with you! :)
