This morning's weather reminded me so much of Spring mornings growing up. Do you ever just get that feeling where you're transported back into time? I love spring, it's beautiful with all it's rain to help bring out flowers and greenery. I love it but it's also confusing. The mornings are usually damp and chilly but you know later that day it will be beautiful and warm. As a 4th grader living in Korea (where we were stationed-I'm an Army brat remember?) I remember struggling at the bus stop on spring mornings. If I wore shorts or short sleeves I would freeze while waiting for the bus but if I wore pants and long sleeves I'd be hot in the afternoons; It seemed like such a problem when I was 9. But this morning as I left my house and threw on my trench coat to keep me warm until the afternoon (supposed to be 76 today) I thought about how far I am from that little girl but the "problems" are still the same at times. There's no real point in writing this except it was a fond memory and I want to cling to it for as long as I can. It's not often that I can vividly remember things and feel like I'm there again so I wanted to hold on to it.
Holy cow, yes. I know exactly what you're talking about. That feeling that just takes you back in time - the sights, the sounds, the smell, the way it all felt... I love those moments. I try to hold on to them for as long as I can - it's like I'm really back again.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you know what I'm talking about! Sometimes I think I'm so weird with feelings I get. Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteI don't remember much from when I was little either, so these moments are always nice to have!
